Just a quick reminder that Drinking Skeptically Pittsburgh is tomorrow!

I probably can’t make it but I hope you’ll join the folks who’ve RSVP’d on Facebook and Meetup and say hello to our new organizer Bill C. He’s keeping DS alive on those sites as Laura and I are no longer able to (hence the lack of updates here) and that makes him AWESOME! Thanks Bill!

September’s Drinking Skeptically

So this monthly thing we do? The one where we get together for drinks and fun? It’s tomorrow, Friday September 18th, at 7:30, in the usual spot –The Bar on E. Carson. [More details & rsvps at Facebook and Meetup.]

You should come out, especially if you’re interested in taking over this much neglected site, as several of our regulars are making long-distance moves, and have taken on new challenges like grad school and better jobs that require more of our time.

Last month we had an awesome turnout and met lots of new friends getting ready to start the new academic year. That’s very Pittsburgh, isn’t it? People coming and going — almost an annual refresh. Sure, it happens elsewhere but it’s just so noticeable here. And I like it. And, I’ll drink to that. (Tomorrow, around 7:30ish. Maybe with you.)

Steel City Skeptics is pleased to welcome Skepchick.org bloggers Maria, Elyse and Jen to the Steel City on January 10, 2009 for Drinking Skepchickally Pittsburgh. The event starts at 7pm at D’s Six-Pack & Dogs in Regent Square – we have rented the upstairs room so you’ll have a chance to stimulate your intellect with some of the wittiest and sexiest skeptics around! Be sure to bring your Skepchick 2009 calendar signed by Elyse (aka: Ms. January 2009). If you haven’t purchased one, I (Ms. July 2009) will have them available for purchase.
